This week I joined the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators. SCBWI is a global community of writers, illustrators, and translators. Premium membership gives creators access to countless resources related to writing and the publication process including critique groups, regional groups, discounts on conferences, publishing directories, marketing opportunities, grant and award opportunities, and more. Membership also comes with a free copy of their 357 page guide, Essential Guide to Publishing for Children.

Premium membership is $95 for the first year and $80 to renew after that. Students can obtain a premium membership for $25.

Anyone can register and utilize their discussion boards for free.

I can’t wait to find a local critique partner and delve into all that SCBWI has to offer!
